blue moon
So the people within the Sphere City miss the moon. At least, that’s what someone can draw from the fact that as January slips into February, large images of the moon are everywhere. The Full moon, to be more specific. There are silver streamers around the merchant dome, and lights have been modified to have a more silver than golden glow in appearance, even at all hours of the day there. Sure it makes things a bit difficult to see, but that’s not really a problem is it?
At night, several domes have large projections of the moon made against the domes. They’re pictures of the moon in varying states of artistic and scientific values. There's a kind of dreamy music that’s played, and a lot of the locals have silver flowers in their hair. Fire pits are common, and older residents are seated around them, telling tales of the moon and its connection to the waters above them. Some stories tell how it glows and shines or is made of green cheese. They also tell how sometimes there were people in the moon, men or women, gods or goddesses, or animals like rabbits. And some stories tell of how the moon would make people mad, and that’s where the term lunacy comes from.
Oh, and there are a few stories about werewolves too. And about how there walking among the people in the Sphere. Even now.
Food at the festival is based around the moon too, or at least the idea of the moon. There’s mooncake of course, but there’s also moon pies, half moon cheese pies, and pierogi, and various cheese and cracker platters, because the moon is made of green cheese after all. There’s moon-based cocktails, that are blue and silver. And some that are shimmering and shining.
People can draw fortunes from the moonwell, but, they’re silly and nonsensical, and people eat the silvery rice paper after they’re finished with them. A few of them however have more ominous sort of fortunes in them. Things like “help me” or “they’re out to get you” or “they’re coming and you can’t stop them.” People shrug those ones off too though. if someone asks about them.
what big eyes you have
So, there are rumors about werewolves that have been circulating around town, and people seem to be given red cloaks at random. Pretty girls and women are offered them the most, but they are open to anyone. If people put them on, which the surrounding locals will cheer and encourage them to do. Then they tell them that their clue is in their pockets and that they will save the town.
In the pockets is another silver disk with a list of names on it. One of those names is a werewolf. You’re given three clues (something like: ‘wearing a blue sweater’ or ‘bald man’ or ‘at the candy stall’) for each one, and then you either accuse them of being a werewolf or clear them. If you accuse them and you’re correct then you’re given a small vial with glowing stones in it and are told that they were actually pieces of the moon before it was lost. Whatever that means. You may want to hold onto them.
If you accuse them and you’re wrong, the game is over for you for the moment and the cloak is taken away. Each cloak has a different list of six names on it, and the names replenish every time someone gets a new cloak. Why yes, the Sphere is playing a game of werewolf with you. How the game goes entirely up to you, and whether or not your character gets invested or what. NPCs are definitely available for this if need be! Please feel free to go a little nuts with this, and player characters can definitely be one of the suspects if they're up for it.
exploration: something that was lost can be found
It’s big news around Sphere City: some old lost and sealed domes have been found along the edges of town. Not only have they been found, but they’re open! Not only are they open but the stuff inside is there on a first come first serve basis. These old domes show no signs of dust, but there are some personal effects within them, pictures and the like. They definitely belonged to someone who had been pulled into the city at some point within the last seven years.
And they’re definitely worth checking out. One never knows one might find in them. Various varieties of clothing are available, as are books, food items (probably shouldn’t eat them), toys and there may or may not be some magical or important historical things hidden here or there if your character is very lucky. Mod note: Nothing world breaky or living can be found, but small things like potions or jewelry or amulets or small weapons (daggers or guns with a very limited amount of bullets.)
mechanic: memory share
Too see the full updates on how memory shares work, please visit here
- Memory shares are experienced over the networked, and beamed directly into the other person's brains as if they are experiencing it themselves.
- Shares do not need to be written a certain way, but here is a mod example: Too see the full updates on how memory shares work, please visit Max Tinder memory share.
- These memories are things that they are watching through the experience of the person who's memory has already happened. It's like seeing a recording that feels very real. However, there isn't anything that they can personally do within it. These are things that have already happened to the character and are fixed points.
- These posts are responded to like a message on the network, and not in the memory itself.
wildcard
This is a good place to test out something like the network or an idea of your own! Remember upon waking in The Sphere, each character is fitted with a small golden circle behind their right ear. This is how they are connected to the network through a neural link. Touch and hold the button to create a broadcast of one of three types:
- Audio. Your character thinks audible words onto the network.
- Writing: Your character thinks text into the network.
- Video. Your character projects a broadcast of a video of themselves onto the network.

Pietro Maximoff | MCU
Pietro wasn't one to stand still for far too long. Standing still drove him absolutely crazy. However, the projection of the moon on the dome catches his attention. So do the people that were roaming around said dome.
He does, however, eventually head off towards the food and notices the fortunes. Something that he does pull a few out of. It's weird to see the ones that were so ominous. Omnious ones that have him looking around the dome and tempted to run off, see who needed help and who didn't.
[What was lost]
He'd run from dome to dome before stopping at one that hadn't seemed to be there before. Maybe it had been and he'd somehow pissed it. Honestly? He wasn't too entirely sure. There were, however, crates and assorted things that held what looked like memories in them. Kneeling down he finds a few different pictures, weapons... There were even things that looked Sokovian, which caught his attention.
He stands before moving to a different part of the dome, finding books and giving a small smile before turning at the sound of footsteps.

[The fact that they could even manage to put the device in his head was something else. It meant that they had to be as fast as him or caught him when he was standing still.]
What exactly is going on here? Also, how many people are in trouble?
[If it sounds like the words are coming out a mile a minute, then they possibly are. There's only person who understands him without him slowing down.]
Also, how long are we stuck here?

Pietro?
[Wanda can't believe it. How many times has she seen her brother only to have the sphere taken him away again? A menagerie of emotions blossom in her chest as she rises to her feet and heads towards the door to her apartment. He'll be able to find her, he's always able to find her, but she can't sit still.
If her brother is here then she has to see him.]
no subject
Wanda? Where are you?
[He didn't need to really ask where she was. Even as he asks, he heads straight towards her. That connection of his with the one constant in his life will bring him to the one person that means more to him than anyone else ever will.]
no subject
They share a connection that not even death can break.
She turns just in time to see the familiar blur of moment she's come to associate with her brother and now her son, Tommy. Wanda holds out her arms and hugs him close without saying a word.
She looks different from the last time he'd seen her. Years and battles have passed and left their mark, her hair dyed redder, her expression less young than he might remember. But he'll always be the older twin.]
no subject
Pietro doesn't say anything and merely hugs her back, pressing his head to the side of hers. Any questions he had about this place are put the back burner, especially when he's got her there in front of him. She was safe.]
no subject
She'll steal this moment and memorize it. Inhaling the familiar scent of his skin and the comforting weight of his arms around her. It's been so long since she's seen him and she isn't willing to let him go. Her arms tighten as her breathing staggers against the curve of his neck. Wanda isn't a religious person but she prays with all her might that she truly has her brother back.
After a length pause, not giving two fucks about those walking around them, Wanda slowly pulls away. Her eyes are a little watery but she's smiling when she meets his gaze.]
I'm so glad to see you.
[It doesn't matter if they have to meet here. She's happy to have any time with her brother.]
no subject
When she pulls back, he gives her a bit of a smile and reaches up brushing a thumb over her cheek. If people had to walk around them, then so be it.]
I'm glad to see you too.
[Even with everything, he's missed her.]
no subject
I have so much to tell you. [She closes her eyes and gently leans her cheek against his palm as he brushes her cheek. An emptiness within her chest begins to fill with a comforting warmth that she hasn't felt in a long time.]
We can speak at my apartment.
[She smiles a little wider.]
I have some left over stew in the fridge.
no subject
[The lack of accent is a bit new, but that was alright.]
You know you can tell me anything.
[That smile causes his to brighten a bit.]
Sounds good. You'll have to show me the way.
no subject
[She takes his hand in hers and began to guide him back to her apartment. It isn't far but Wanda takes her time, enjoying the presence of her brother walking at her side. It's been years since they have walked like this.
They had been children back then.]
I have a roommate but he should be away.
[That's something else to explain.]
no subject
Walking slow is a pain, but I'll live.
[He gives her hand a gentle squeeze and walks with her, watching their surroundings at they did. There would be a point where he ran and took them in, but that wasn't yet.]
He?
[That's definitely new.]
Sorry for the delay. This month has been crazy.
Yes. There are a few places you can wake up here and we don't have a choice when we first arrive and- [She frowns.] It's complicated. [her grip on his hand tightens slightly.] It's Ultron and while death isn't permanent here, I want to keep my eye on him and keep him in line. [Which is the only reason she hasn't moved because Ultron is a little tough to live with.]
What Was Lost
But people down here? Not very common. Tommy comes to a stop when he sees someone, and there they are, turning to look at him. Strange. He looks... Like things Tommy's seen in his Mom's memories. But that isn't possible, right?
"Should be careful down here. Rusty metal. Could cut yourself and get hurt."
[OOC: Man, I forgot to track this TDM. I'm sorry]
no subject
"I'd heal. I'm not worried about rusty metal." When he does talk, that Sokovian accent is still there, a bit heavy, but that happens when he's tired.
[OOC: Life happens. <3]
no subject
"You sure? Because tetanus is pretty messy to have to deal with," he counters, moving to lean against a nearby structure. Don't mind him, just leaning here, watching. Watching so carefully. With eyes that flit around a bit faster than that of normal humans.
[OOC: It sure has done that hasn't it?]
no subject
That cocky attitude to top it off. Though, Pietro does notice those eyes flitting about faster than normal. His sister's eyes didn't even do that. So, that meant one of two things and he had a feeling that he knew. Didn't mean he'd just go right out and say it.
"Needles are a messy business, in general."
no subject
"Yeah, trust me, I know. So, you know, don't get yourself cut up, old man."
no subject
"I'm not that old, kid. Though, I don't plan to get myself cut up. What dragged you out here?"
no subject
"Boredom. Need for a run. Figured I'd check for stuff too. What about you?"
Come on, Petey. Show him what you can do.
no subject
Being slow was actually a bit boring, very boring. He's not even sure if he's covered every expanse of every dome in this place. However, this one had caught his attention with the Sokovian things within the crates.
"We could run. One of my favorite things to do."
no subject
"I don't know if your old bones can keep up," he eases, voice light and playful.
no subject
He's not used to flashing eyes. That is something new. Nothing that he's used to, at the very least. He just gives a bit of a grin. He adjusts his stance a bit, not even bothering to stretch. This? It would be fun.
"Say when."

"I don't know if you've got the chops to keep up with the real Maximoff speedster, Uncle Pietro. But I guess we're going to see."
After all, Tommy knows he's at least Mach-Four. But man, to get to race him now, this is going to be the best. And he holds up three fingers. Two fingers. One finger. And then he's off, fast as a thought, laughing.
